Art and architecture historian Marianne Burki was Head of Visual Arts with the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia until the end of 2019. She was responsible for Pro Helvetia's visual arts funding policy in Switzerland, international exchanges and the Swiss pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Marianne Burki was previously Director of the Kunsthaus Langenthal. In the Paul Klee Stiftung, she was Project Manager for the Catalogue Raisonné Paul Klee. She is also the scriptwriter and director of the film Mariann Grunder, Bildhauerin. Since 2018, she has been President of the Vereinigung Schweizer Kunsthistorikerinnen und Kunsthistoriker (Swiss association of art historians, VKK).
Assistant TaDA
Martina Lughi studied Portuguese and English, together with literature, business and art management, at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. In 2017, she earned a Master's degree in marketing, communication and fundraising for art and culture in Rome. In addition to her position as Programme Assistant with TaDA, Martina has been employed by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia since 2018, providing assistance for the Swiss participation in the Venice Biennale. Since 2014, she has also been responsible for organising events on behalf of Pro Helvetia and the Swiss consulate at the Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi (Venice) and is now coordinator of the international residency program of the foundation.
